Use HM Find+Rename to search for files in a folder and its subfolders and to rename or sequential number the found files at once, to format the filenames to upper/lowercase/mixed formatting, or to change file date/time and attributes, quick and easy, using wildcards and regular expressions. The application provides a preview function, an undo function and a comprehensive help function. Often used search/replace patterns can be stored persistently and recalled later via a popup menu. HM Find+Rename is particularly qualified for quick working with a large number of files (for example your JPEG, MPEG or MP3 files collection).

In order to install HM Find+Rename, you should follow these steps:
Download the self-extracting installation package (exe file) to a temporary folder of your choice on your computer.
If you are using Windows NT/2000/XP or a later version of Windows make sure you are logged in as user with administrative privileges.
Run the self-extracting HM Find+Rename setup program and follow the installation instructions displayed.
Note: If you have a previous version of HM Find+Rename installed on your computer, you need not uninstall the previous version before. The setup program detects an existing installation and performs an update installation itself.
To uninstall HM Find+Rename open Windows 'Control Panel' and then the icon 'Programs and Features' (aka Software in earlier Windows versions). In the list of 'Installed Programs' select the item 'HM Find+Rename' and click the button Uninstall (aka button Remove in earlier Windows versions).

view. To change file properties switch to the 'Date/Attributes'

In the program group of HM Find+Rename you will find a link to the online order form on the Web. To open it click 'Start › All Programs › HM Find+Rename › Online Order' from the Windows desktop.
To activate your license click 'Start › All Programs › HM Find+Rename › License Activation' from the Windows desktop.

To ease the contact via e-mail HM Find+Rename Help contains HTML forms you can use to send questions, bugs report, suggestions, and so on. The HTML forms are in HTML 4.0 standard and will only be sent properly if your e-mail client supports it (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x with Outlook Express 5, Microsoft Outlook 98, and higher versions). If you have an older e-mail client, please create a new e-mail directly in your e-mail client, edit the required information from the HTML form manually and send the e-mail to: hmse@gmx.at

HM WebCopy is a browser extension for Internet Explorer and Firefox to capture and save the interesting part of Web pages without annoying banners, ads and navigation elements as HTML file on your computer.
To that, you just can select any desired area of a Web page, click the right mouse button and save the selected area as Web page on your computer. Optionally you can add further information about the original source of the Web page. The saved HTML file contains text structure and formatting as similar as possible to those of the original Web page.

HM XColdo is a browser extension for MS Internet Explorer and Firefox you can use to create and edit 'HM Collection' documents right from within your Web browser. 'HM Collection' documents are XML documents containing a data collection with any desired content (link lists, image lists, recipe collection, item lists, price lists, address lists, etc.). Such an XML document is viewable in any Web browser like a usual HTML document. 'HM Collection' documents are stored as local XML file on your computer.
To store your data in the vendor independent, open XML document format is in your interest because you will be able to view and edit these documents with any Web browser or text editor program, respectively, still in the future, even though HM XColdo might not be available then. Moreover, XML data can easily be converted into another data format.
